Family-Friendly Attractions in North Carolina

Due to student employees' school and school related activity schedules, the park does have some limited operation dates near the end of the season. A list of scheduled attractions will be listed daily (as needed) at link below and will serve as your best source for information on what attractions may not operate during limited operation dates.

Double Barrel Blast

Zip down chutes and shoot out four feet above the water before splashing down into the pool.

Riders must be 48" tall.
Requires strong swimming skills.

Bombs Away

Bombs Away will take brave riders to a towering height of nearly six-stories. Riders can choose one of two ride experiences, either an enclosed, looping slide or an open vertical drop slide. The floor below drops out, sending riders free falling at 26 feet per second! View Details

Splash Island

A great place for the entire family to have fun in the sun – all summer long. The little ones will enjoy our kiddie-sized wave pool, a volcano with two slides, double tube slides and interactive water play elements.

Must be UNDER 54" tall.

Shipwreck Cove

Climb aboard the bow of a sunken ship and walk the plank into six feet of water.

All guests under 48" are REQUIRED to wear a lifejacket.
Free lifejackets are available at the Wave pool and the Shipwreck Cove at no charge.

Thunder Bay

Wet'n Wild Emerald Pointe's centerpiece attraction, our gigantic two million gallon wave pool creates 84-foot wide tsunami waves to ride on, splash in or just watch from the sand-free beach.

All guests under 48" are REQUIRED to wear a lifejacket.
Free lifejackets are available at the Wave pool and the Shipwreck Cove at no charge.

Daredevil Drop

Extreme body slide

A high thrill ride that drops you 76 feet down a steep water chute with the sensation of free falling...then glide to a slippery smooth landing.

Soak Zone

This half acre Soak Zone attraction includes a 7,000 square foot interactive water play area featuring over 35 water elements! Soak Zone is designed for exciting water spray thrills for the entire family! Specialty themed seating and shaded areas within the new Soak Zone will provide a waterfall of relaxation and fun for kids of ALL ages!

Twin Twisters

These identical, completely enclosed black water chutes have over 350 feet of twists and turns in total darkness for even more thrills and chills.

Dragon's Den

Runaway Raft Ride

This exciting ride provides an exhilarating zoom down a whooshing, winding over 600-foot long flume in rafts designed to carry one, two, or three thrill seeking riders.

Children 40"-45" tall may ride if accompanied by an adult and are wearing a US Coast Guard approved lifejacket.

Raging Rapids

Experience the thrills and exhilaration of white water rafting. Grab a tube and slip and slide down our 450-foot long man made river.

The Edge

Once you pass over the brink, there's no turning back. Take thrills to the limit on The Edge, a massive half-pipe designed to hurtle you down, up, and back down again. Experience all the adrenaline soaked action!

The Blue Streak, Sidewinder & 360°

These totally enclosed water slides offer a variety of thrill levels. Speed straight down, twist and turn or decide to loop the loop on the 360°. Try all three!

Whether you're looking for something to do with the kids or just need a break from the thrill rides, come and relax in a comfortable inner tube and let the gentle current do the rest.

Happy Harbor

A play area just for small children includes two pools with a total of 6,400 square feet of water fun. The maximum depth is 9 inches and the play elements for children include the Silly Submarine and Ollie the Octopus.

Leisure Lagoon

For extra shaded fun, relax in style with a private cabana adjacent to Happy Harbor.

Wet'n Wild Emerald Pointe is home to some of the best kids attractions in Greensboro! Happy Harbor is a play area just for small children that includes, two pools, play elements, slides, Silly Submarine and more! Parents, too, can join in on the fun at Splash Island, a great place for the entire family. Splash Island includes a kiddie-sized wave pool and several slides and water play elements.
